Connected Health Summer School – Where IoT meets AI

The increase of distributed intelligence embedded within environments which are highly sensorized is one of the major factors for the change we are experiencing in daily living, working and social contexts. This rapid transition poses huge opportunities to adopt a smart way of living offering benefits from a health and wellbeing perspective. This Summer School has been designed for early career researchers who are focusing on the research and development of technology based connected health solutions. The Summer School has a program of activities, both from a theoretical and practical perspective,  which will offer training in technology,  health,  social science and business topics.

The Summer School will adopt both a multi-disciplinary and cross-sector perspective and will examine a number of exemplar Projects within both a European and International contexts.
This is a unique opportunity for early career researchers who are interested in the use of contemporary solutions for Smart Environments.  Training will be provided by a  multi-disciplinary research and cross-sectoral team comprised of service providers, researchers, social and behavioral scientists, innovation managers and investors.

The Summer School will offer formal teaching, practical exercises and group discussions over an period of 4 days. It will adopt a highly participative approach which will emphasize  group work cutting across participant presentations, round tables, panel discussions and practical exercises.
The training is be delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experts with a track record in the analysis, implementation and evaluation of Connected Health Solutions, who will share their knowledge and guidance related to innovative ways to offer real solutions which will have an impact.
